No. The form prepares an email for discussion. A commission exists only after the scope, price, production requirements and practical arrangements have been agreed directly.

Collection may be discussed. The collection location, date and time are confirmed during the follow-up email discussion after the request has been reviewed.

Standard ABS-like resin print orders are subject to a £5 minimum print-production charge and a separate £2.50 administration fee. The minimum standard order total is therefore £7.50 before postage, extensive file work and other separately quoted services. Final pricing can also reflect resin consumption, reasonable failure allowance, support requirements, cleanup and quantity.

No. The pattern is produced in a specialist castable photopolymer resin formulated for burnout during investment casting. It performs a similar role to a traditional wax pattern, but preparation and burnout requirements may differ.

No. The currently available Lost-Resin Burnout Master Patterns service supplies the printed burnout pattern only. Investment, burnout, metal casting and metal finishing must be completed by the customer or a suitable foundry.

Forge + Filament Workshop is developing an experimental metal-casting service under the name Finecast Metal, but this is currently in testing and is not yet available for general orders.

Lost-resin print orders are subject to a £15 minimum print-production charge and a separate £2.50 administration fee. The minimum standard order total is therefore £17.50 before postage, CAD work and extensive file preparation.

The £2.50 administration fee normally applies once per customer order rather than once per individual printed item, unless an order is divided into separate production requests.

No. The resin is formulated and marketed by its manufacturer for clean burnout. Casting results depend on the complete investment and burnout process, so a completely residue-free result or successful final casting cannot be guaranteed by Forge + Filament Workshop.

The material manufacturer publishes a six-hour programme for the castable-resin pattern supplied by Forge + Filament Workshop: start at 50°C, reach 150°C at one hour, 371°C at two hours, hold 732°C from hours three through five, then reduce to 510°C at hour six. The manufacturer also recommends preheating the kiln to 50°C before placing the flask inside.

The pattern should be thoroughly cleaned, completely dry and fully UV post-cured before investment. The foundry must confirm the cycle against its chosen investment material, flask, kiln, metal and normal working process.

Customers should confirm that their chosen foundry accepts castable resin patterns and can follow an appropriate resin-specific burnout schedule before ordering.

Basic file checks and print preparation may be included, but original CAD design, extensive remodelling and complex file repair are separate services and may incur an additional charge.

Support placement is planned to minimise visible damage, but small contact marks may remain. Any surfaces that must remain untouched should be identified before the quotation is approved.

Supply the printable model, intended dimensions, quantity and deadline. Where known, include the intended foundry, casting method, metal, wall-thickness requirements and any foundry-specific instructions for sprues, shrinkage, hollowing, drainage, orientation, finish or burnout.

Finecast Metal is an experimental metal-casting service being developed using suitable lost-resin burnout master patterns as part of the production process.

No. Finecast Metal is currently in testing and is not yet available for general orders.

No release date has been confirmed. Availability will depend on the results of practical testing and the establishment of reliable production limits.

Supported metals have not yet been confirmed. Materials, finishes and design limitations will be announced after testing.

Potential test-project enquiries may be considered, but submission does not guarantee acceptance, production, participation in testing or a successful metal result.
